Each session the school has a School Improvement Plan which highlights the areas that will be developed and improved. These areas are identified through our self evaluation procedures and through our consultations with children and parents. Teams made up of staff, parent and pupils are set up to address each area. The areas being addressed during session 2008/2009 are:-

School

• To prepare for Curriculum for Excellence Early Level
• To foster curriculum flexibility
• To maintain high level of attainment and promote an ethos of celebrating achievement
• To develop the capacity of responsible citizens
• To enhance our self evaluation procedures

Nursery Class

• To develop opportunities provided in physical development and movement both indoors and outdoors
• To continue with good progress being made in adopting Assessment is for Learning strategies
• To enhance the involvement of parents in the work of the nursery
